Witchy Thing Wednesday - Green Aventurine

In honour of the upcoming sabbat, Lughnasadh, and to introduce my new series “Witchy Thing Wednesday”, read on and learn about the stone Green Aventurine. 

The reason I chose Green Aventurine for this week is because both the colour green and the stone aventurine correspond with Lughnasadh, this Sunday August 1st.

Green Aventurine is part of the quartz family and it’s shade of green comes from tiny particles of Fuchsite. It is associated with the element of Earth and the astrological signs Taurus, Virgo and Pisces. 

Metaphysically, Green Aventurine is known as the “stone of opportunity” and has strong connections to the heart. It’s soothing energy can help balance emotions and heal inner wounds. It can help encourage the release of negative/unhealthy habits, relationships, patterns and trauma.
Also considered to be a lucky stone, it can help increase the chances of your favoured outcome in many situations. This actually has less to do with luck and more to do with the opportunities you may be presented with, and more open to pursuing, when working with this stone. 

Personally, the properties of emotional healing resonate the most with me and is the main reason I love working with this stone. Lately while going through my first pregnancy, I’ve also felt connected to it’s properties of vitality and connection to fertility.
